The example configurations for the Life and Wireworld automata are a
different matter. Some of these were designed by Chris Pressey (a very
small number of the included Life configurations, and possibly most of
the included Wireworld configurations), but he would be hard-pressed to
remember exactly which ones. The remainder were collected from sources
on the Internet where they were available for download, but no explicit
license was given.
