Commentary by cpressey on Physics works

The Trouble with Physics

I read this a few years ago and it is not bad. It asks some hard questions about where physics is going.

The God Particle

I read this a long time ago. It's about the hunt for the Higgs particle. The viewpoint of an experimental (rather than theoretical) physicist is refreshing.

The Museum of Unworkable Devices

I'm impressed that this site is still around in 2024. It was a useful resource in the early Internet, where crackpots had more room to roam. It still is a useful resource for anyone who is, or who is needing to deal with, someone who hasn't developed enough "physics maturity" to understand why perpetual motion machines are implausible.
